Mutant Football League: Dynasty Edition Brings Gore To The Gridiron Next Month

Digital Dreams’ brutal sports title blitzes retail October 30, free Dynasty Mode update to release dame day

Mutant Football League: Dynasty Edition, Digital Dreams Interactive’s love letter to the brutal 16-bit classic Mutant League Football, will be making its way to retail for the Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 30th, 2018.

The Dynasty Mode sets this package apart from the core game, which first released last Halloween. In it, players take on the role of coach and GM of a team of rookie mutants and mold them into an indomitable force. The mode features multiple season gameplay, player trades, cumulative player experience (XP), salary management, custom playbooks as well as free agent signings. Additionally, Dynasty Edtion also introduces two new species of mutants, six new teams, more Dirty Tricks, and deadly arenas to compete in.

If you’re a fan of the arcade sports titles of the early 1990s, then Mutant Football League is going to be right up your alley. It’s the product of Mutant League Football designer Michael Mendheim and features commentary courtesy of Tim Kitzrow, who voiced the announcer in Midway Games’ hit two-on-two basketball title NBA Jam.

Mutant Football League: Dynasty Edition will retail for $29.99. However, those who’ve already purchased the digital version of Mutant Football League will receive a free update of the Dynasty Mode content the same day Dynasty Edition rolls out.
