Grasshopper Manufacture’s gruesome cult classic is looking better than ever in the latest Killer7 trailer
When it first released back in 2005, Killer7 made waves for its striking visual style and bizarre narrative courtesy of legendary industry madmen Goichi “Suda51” Suda, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, and Shinji Mikami. Now, 13 years after making a bloody splash on the Gamecube, PC-bound players can prepare to experience this surreal cult classic in all of its gory glory.
Publisher NIS America today released a new trailer introducing four of the game’s lead assassins that make up the Killer7; “The Cleaner” Garcian Smith; “The Hellion” Dan Smith; and the albino assassin who goes by the codename “Four Eyes”, Kevin Smith.
While the game isn’t quite the graphical showpiece it was over a decade ago, I have to say I’m pretty pleased with just how well Killer7’s spit-shined visuals hold up – thanks in no small part to the game’s crazy stylish character designs. Just look at those Heaven’s Smile freaks! Their mottled skin and eerie laugh still make my skin crawl.

While NIS America still hasn’t pegged down a definitive release date, the publisher plans to release Killer7 this fall on Steam. For more information, stop by the game’s official Steam Page.
