Web-swinging across the uncanny valley in Marvel’s Spider-Man

No doubt about it, Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the most visually impressive games we’ve seen grace the PS4 in 2018. However, the hard work Insomniac Games put into bringing the web-slinging hero and the bustling streets of Manhattan to life really shines in this screenshot captured by Twitter user nib95, in which he re-creates the iconic shot featured in last year’s hit superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Pretty incredible, isn’t it? Just look at the stunning attention to detail! It’s enough to make even the most jaded graphics snob take a second glance. Everything, from the towering skyscrapers in the distance to the detail in Spidey’s costume, looks spot on. If there was ever a game that evidenced just how close video games have come to looking like big-budget Hollywood productions, this is the one.
So, have you captured any masterpieces in Marvel’s Spider-Man’s photo mode that you want to share? If so, we’d love to see them. Feel free to post your best shots in the comments section below.
