Retro-inspired arena battler Gift of Parthax works its magic on Steam, available at a 15% discount during launch week

Publisher 1C Entertainment has announced that their pixel-based, spell-slinging, magical arena combat game Gift of Parthax is now available on Steam.
Developed by Danish indie outfit Foldergeist Studios, Gift of Parthax is a 2D top-down arena combat game that puts players in control of Arif, a mage on a quest to save his friend. Unfortunately for him, the only way to do that is to conquer all of the adversaries awaiting in Atixa’s grand arena and claiming the game’s titular Gift of Parthax. The game features frantic combat as you topple waves of enemies and challenging bosses, all while upgrading your grimoire with enhanced and customizable magical abilities.
To mark the occasion, the publisher has released a trailer showcasing the game’s retro-style aesthetics and spellbinding gameplay. Check it out below:
“Gift of Parthax invites players to experience a retro-themed world of magic, pixels, and punishing arena combat that will test the skills of even the best RPG wizards,” said Nikolay Baryshnikov, VP of 1C Entertainment. “Prepare your spellbook, sharpen your strategies, and see if you have the magical skills to triumph in the grand arena of Atixa!”
The game is available now on Steam at a discounted price of $8.49 during its launch week. Afterward, it will return to its full MSRP of $9.99.
