Includes new touchscreen and motion-control features
Capcom has announced today the official Nintendo Switch release of Ōkami HD.
Originally released in 2006 on the PlayStation 2, Ōkami HD follows the story of Ōkami Amaterasu, a Japanese sun goddess who has taken the form of a legendary white wolf, as she journeys through the lands of Nippon to dispel evil. Players will take control of Ōkami Amaratsu on her journey as they travel through dangerous lands, and take on enemies and puzzles alike with the Celestial Brush — a divine object with the ability to manipulate the physical world. This updated version of Ōkami will not only feature enhanced graphics, but two new painting control schemes exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for players to take advantage of. For information on the new control schemes, you can check out the list of key features below:
- Touchscreen Painting – Create brushstrokes directly on the touchscreen in Handheld mode.
- Motion-Control Painting – Paint with the Joy-Con controller’s motion controls in TV or Tabletop mode by moving it in the desired pattern, just like a paintbrush.
Ōkami HD is now available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch. Have you already ventured through Nippon with Ōkami Amaterasu before? Are you looking forward to doing it once more? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
