Super Bomberman R Celebrates Million-Seller Milestone by Bungee Jumping

Happy trails!

Konami’s investment in Bomberman has paid off, as last year’s Super Bomberman R revival — initially published on Nintendo Switch and ported to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last month — has sold one million copies! To honor the occasion, Konami and Bomberman himself celebrated the only way they know how: bungee jumping.

Perhaps he didn’t make it into Smash Bros., but Bomberman‘s still having the time of his life; after all, what more could he ask for than a modern-day revival? It’s enough to bring tears to any retro gamer’s eye!

As should be obvious, most of Super Bomberman R‘s sales hail from Switch, seeing as how the other versions have only been avaliable for a month’s time. With this being such a breakout hit, could we see a sequel in the near future?

Does Super Bomberman R deserve its success? Let us know in the comments below!
