Mega Man: Fully Charged Cartoon Trailer Arrives, Airs August 5th

Reactions continue to be…well, mixed, to say the least.

Mega Man: Fully Charged, in case you didn’t remember, is the upcoming Mega Man CG cartoon produced by Man of Action Studios (Ben 10, Ultimate Spider-Man), and we just got a new trailer courtesy of San Diego Comic-Con. And boy, does it look…well, just watch for yourself:

Putting the…ahem, “interesting” animation aside, it’s still recognizable as Mega Man: our hero can still copy abilities, familiar heroes and villains are lurking about, and a nostalgic tune makes a cameo appearance. (Pop quiz: what game is the song from?)

Still, the show largely utilizes an original setting: Mega Man himself is actually a schoolboy named Aki Light, who transforms into Mega Man to save Silicon City — a world where robots and humans live together — from the nefarious plans of Sgt. Night and his Robot Masters. Aided by Rush the dog, Mega Mini and Suna Light, he uses his Mega Buster to save the day.

In any case, the show airs August 5th on Cartoon Network. Will you be watching it? Let us know in the comments below!
