Collect cards, hunt bounties, and more in this upcoming RPG
Developer Traega has announced that they will be releasing their first-ever title, BRIG 12, next month.
Developed by a series of industry veterans from the likes of Blizzard, EA, Riot, and Ubisoft, BRIG 12 is a single-player, turn-based, card-collecting RPG that will have players stepping into the shoes of a clone of a legendary bounty hunter, where they will be put in charge of recruiting and equipping a new crew — all while the original bounty hunter himself kicks back and enjoys a nice retirement. Of course, the bounty hunter won’t be the only one taking it easy after a certain point. As players progress, they too will find themselves able to retire their current clone while creating a new one to replace it — thus perpetuating an endless (and hectic) cycle of bounty hunting destruction.
BRIG 12 touts itself as a “truly free-to-play” single-player RPG. Traega has confirmed that all players will have access to all of the game’s content and features from the very beginning, with the only cosmetic and convenience-related items planning to be sold.
“As a new studio, we’re excited to announce our first game, BRIG 12,” said Traega Entertainment founder Dax Hoc. “This is the first of what we expect to be many games from Traega Entertainment. We’ve been assembling our team quickly over the past 2 years and I’m really proud of how we have come together to build this game. BRIG 12 embodies the principle we want in all of our games – we want to let the players decide how to play. We think we’ve created a unique combination of some genres we love, and we’re excited about this launch as the stepping stone to future launches for our studio.”
BRIG 12 is currently slated for release next month, on PC via steam. Are you looking forward to this turn-based, card-collecting RPG? What are your thoughts on its “free-to-play” philosophy? Let us know in the comments below!
