A real rave from the grave, eh?
This article contains spoilers for Persona 3 and Persona 5 — You’ve been warned!
ATLUS has released two new trailers for upcoming games Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Start Night featuring Shinjiro Aragaki and Goro Aketchi — two characters who are seemingly so determined to dance that not even death will stop them.
Representing Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night in the latest trailer is none other than Shinjiro Aragki — the aloof resident bad boy of SEES, whose life was ultimately cut short when he sacrificed himself in order to save Ken Amada. The new trailer features Shinjiro dancing on the very top of Tarturus to the iconic “The Battle For Everyone’s Souls” and is later joined by his longtime friend Akihiko Sanada. As of now, Shinjiro’s costumes include his normal outfit, his butler outfit from P3P, and some casual beach attire.
Persona 5: Dancing Star Night‘s new trailer is all about Goro Aketchi — a pancake-loving ace detective who, although originally working alongside the Phantom Thieves, eventually reveals himself to be the protagonist’s foil. Aketchi’s trailer features him dancing (rather ironically) inside of Shido’s Cruiser to “Will Power” and is joined partway through by P5‘s protagonist himself. Aketchi’s featured costumes include his school attire, his Metaverse outfit, a butler outfit, and an outfit styled after the one worn by Velvet Room denizen Theodore.
Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night are slated to release in Japan on May 24, on PlayStation 4 and Vita, with Shinjiro and Akechi releasing as DLC soon after. Currently, there is no word on a release for either game outside of Japan, but many of us certainly are hoping that that will change soon. What are your thoughts about P3DMN and P5DSN? How do you feel about these characters being DLC? Let us know in the comments below!
