Smash 2018 Invitational Players Announced

And the players are…
smash invitational

Only 33 days until the latest Super Smash Bros. game for Nintendo Switch is revealed to the world, but in the meantime, the competitors for the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 tournament at E3 have been announced! Check out the combatants below:

As seen above, the Smash Invitational roster is a mix of players from Melee (Armada, Mang0, Lucky and Plup) and Smash Bros. for Wii U (ZeRo, MkLeo, Abadango. and Mr. R). That’s eight players in all, but Smash fans may recognize that’s only half the number from the 2014 invitational, which held 16 renowned Smash players.  As that tournament emphasized four-player free-for-alls, we imagine this reduced size implies intense one-on-one matches.  (And hey, don’t forget that leaves more time for celebrity and game journalist guest appearances!)
