Thank you for mentioning this; NIS have handled this conversion appallingly, not just cancelling launch a few hours before release, but apart from an unofficial comment in passing during an obscure interview which someone had to post on the Steam forums, where they indicated it would be April, they’d just stopped bothering saying anything at all about when we could now expect it… I think most of us had started assuming it would be at least 2 months away, probably when the Switch conversion was scheduled instead.

So I only became aware it had released after reading your article; I haven’t played it yet, but I must say, not giving away the DLC free as an apology for messing us around for so long, and continuing to have it as a 1 week limited offer is bloody cheeky. And the price (£44.99, that’s Triple A level in the UK) remains horrendous for what is basically a years-late Playstation port.

Nihon needs to give the Ys conversion rights back to the awesome Xseed for any future games, because NIS have been an all round disaster.
