Are you scared of the dark?
Developer Tiny Bull Studios has announced that they have a new title slated for a Spring 2018 release. That ought to give you plenty of time to steel your nerves for Blind, a psychological horror game only for VR. Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR owners will have a crucial sense removed from them upon waking. In case it wasn’t… blindingly obvious, Blind puts the player in a strange room, suddenly without the use of her sight. You have a character guiding you, the mysterious Warden, but it’s on you to navigate the unfamiliar mansion in which you awake.
Not all hope is lost for you, though. Like any good superhero, what you lose in one sense, you gain in another. In Blind, you can see brief flashes of action through echolocation. Per Tiny Bull Studios, “Sound waves briefly reveal the outlines of objects, enabling her to navigate the mansion, solve puzzles and uncover the mystery of what is happening and why. As she gets closer and closer to the truth, however, she will be forced to confront her worst enemy – that which she does not, or will not, see.”
