The journey isn’t over, Fairy Tail fans: while Hiro Mashima’s popular shonen manga ended last year, there’s two sequels coming in the form of spin-off manga. As reported by Anime News Network, Mr. Mashima is not only launching a new fantasy series for Weekly Shonen Magazine’s 30th issue (June 27th), but is working on one of the two spin-offs. It is unknown what the extent of his involvement will be, but we imagine his new series will take priority.
In the meantime, Mr. Mashima also announced the Fairy Tail anime’s final season will arrive this fall. No other details were given, but what else could there be but what’s left of the manga? We expect more information on both manga spin-offs and this final season in the coming months.
