Tekken Mobile Release Dates Confirmed, New Character Reveal

New character Rodeo rides into Tekken town to bust some heads

Tekken Mobile Rodeo 1

Bandai Namco today confirmed the release dates for it’s upcoming mobile game, the simply titled Tekken Mobile. Good news: no one will have to wait for long.

The dates are as follows:

  • February 1st: Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, South East Asia
  • February 15th: UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Benelux, Singapore
  • March 1st: United States, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong

Most interestingly Bandai Namco also confirmed a new character, Bo ‘Rodeo’ Montana, who is exclusive to Tekken Mobile. Rodeo may look akin to a jacked-up Resident Evil mainstay Chris Redfield, but his military MMA fighting style is sure to peak the interest of Tekken fans across the globe. Not to mention a new addition to the Tekken universe being a great draw for the launch of the IOS/Android app.

Tekken Mobile Rodeo 2

Rodeo’s backstory is a curious one though; the former All-State Football Champion had his strength and training drained by Revenant, along with the rest of Rodeo’s comrades. So Rodeo enters the King of the Iron Fist Tournament to get his strength and training back…..using strength and training? His story mode will no doubt be the most intriguing.

As for the game itself, the Tekken Mobile teasers showcase more than enough to whet the appetite of Tekken fans. A map-based story mode, online versus battles and weekly rotating content are all on offer, and the battles themselves look and sound impressive. With this much on offer in the palm of your hand, it could also well be the best mobile fighter to date.

Tekken Mobile is slated for release worldwide throughout February/March for iOS and Android. Do you like the look of it? Let us know in the comments below!
