Dragon Ball Super Off The Air This March

But what about the other four universes?!?

Fuji TV, the channel that broadcasts Dragon Ball Super in Japan, has announced the latest iteration of the ever-popular Dragon Ball franchise will taken off the air following this March. Set to be replaced by a new installment of GeGeGe no Kitaro, it’s not immediately clear whether this is a cancellation or merely a hiatus, although Fuji TV reportedly stated “it’s not like the series is over.”

Many fans have begun speculation on whether this means a new installment of Dragon Ball is in the works, or if this move is somehow related to the upcoming animated movie (once again supervised by creator Akira Toriyama) releasing in Japan this year.

Debuting in 2015, Dragon Ball Super is currently in the midst of the Universe Survival arc, which was already scheduled to end this March. FUNimation dubs the show in America for Cartoon Network’s Toonami block, and Crunchyroll simulcasts the show’s latest episodes an hour after they air in Japan.
