Hyrule Warriors is slated to appear sometime this Spring
Today’s surprise Nintendo event, Nintendo Direct, brought a few surprises for us all. Originally released in 2014 on the Wii U and the 3DS, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo are bringing their slash em up fighting game, Hyrule Warriors to the Nintendo Switch. And boy, are we excited!
Now dubbed as Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, this port will include all original 29 playable characters, as well as every map and mission that was featured in the previously released versions on the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. And, like the previous versions, the Switch version will support two players local multiplayer on a single console, and all by using a single Joy-Con controller each. So there’s no need at all for your friends to feel left out!
A fighting game that is based on the Legend of Zelda sounds incredibly niche, but it, in fact, has a dedicated fanbase that adores it. And so, I can imagine their euphoria at finally being able to take this kick-ass game around with them, no matter where they are!
