Vive Wireless Adapter also announced
Tech innovator HTC has unveiled its latest upcoming VR headset, the Vive Pro.
Originally reported on by Engadget, the Vive Pro will feature 2880 x 1600 OLED screens — far outperforming the original Vive’s 1080 x 1200 resolution — and will come with built-in headphones capable of utilizing 3D sound. HTC stated that the Pro will work in the same manner as the original Vive in terms of room-scale motion tracking, meaning that you won’t have to completely gouge your wallet should you choose to upgrade (although the Pro is probably going to be pretty pricey itself). Additionally, HTC has unveiled the Vive Wireless Adapter which, as you can probably infer based on its name, is a wireless adapter for the Vive.
Currently, there is no additional information regarding pricing or a release date for the Vive Pro, nor the Vive Wireless Adapter, but we’ll be sure to inform you once anything new crops up.
