Nintendo Power Returns In Podcast Form

Will Howard and Nester make a guest appearance?!?

Miss Nintendo Power magazine? Maybe a podcast can’t replicate that old, forgotten feeling of flipping page after page discovering new games and cheat codes alike, but at least the former Editor-in-Chief is behind it! Chris Slate, the EIC from when Future Publishing took over the magazine in 2007, has begun the official Nintendo Power podcast, which you can view on Soundcloud and iTunes. Also hosting are Kit Ellis (co-host of Nintendo Minute) and Damon Baker (Publisher/Developer Relations at NOA).

In the first episode, all three hosts not only review Nintendo Switch’s debut year, but bring on Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma and Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi to discuss the critically-acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both developers discuss making the game’s food appealing, game testing, their favorite Champion, and more.

Game magazines may have gone the way of the dodo, but we’re just glad Nintendo Power is back in some form.

Eating, breathing and living video games on a daily basis, Anthony is particularly fond of the Nintendo variety, but is by no means a console warrior. Somewhere in the midst of his obsession with cat pictures, he finds the time to pen about his favorite hobby. Having previously written for over three sites, Anthony remains dedicated to spreading the gospel of EarthBound.
