“Amiibo’s” might be a good cereal name…

Lose all hope for another Nintendo-themed cereal? You may finally get your wish: thanks to some sleuthing at Cerealously, evidence has been unearthed regarding a Kellogg’s collaboration for a Super Mario Odyssey-themed cereal, most notably the below box art.

A mixed berry cereal with Power-Up Marshmallows (based on Mushrooms, 1-up Mushrooms and Question Mark blocks, naturally), what’s most notable is the box’s supposed amiibo compatibility with Super Mario Odyssey. This Super Mario cereal is apparently slated to hit stores soon, as Cerealously received a tip from a reader that received the following confirmation from Kellogg’s:

“We hope you’ll keep a eye out for the new Super Mario cereal that is hitting the store shelves now the star shaped cereal features Super Mario- inspired marshmallows and a limited number of packages will have an Amiibo powerup sticker.”

While the tweet containing this tip has been deleted — bear in mind that’s apparently not the full quote — we suppose that solves the mystery of how amiibo functionality will work. Question is, are we gonna eat this to the Super Mario Bros. Super Show on Netflix? Let us know your thoughts on the Super Mario Cereal in the comments below!
