The Tokyo Game Show presentations for Fire Emblem Warriors showcased quite a few announcements, what with the confirmation of Celica, Caeda and Tiki as playable characters, but the latest one has confirmed the release of DLC! According to Koei Tecmo, three different packs are arriving through Spring 2018: Fire Emblem Fates by the end of the year, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon in Winter 2018, and Fire Emblem Awakening next spring. What exactly these packs contain remains largely unknown, but it’s more than likely we’ll see new additions to the cast.
For those disappointed the game is still focusing on those three titles, remember that Hyrule Warriors had two years of DLC that went well beyond its initial focus on Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Should Fire Emblem Warriors last that long, we’re certain to see beloved characters from other games in the series; in fact, Koei Tecmo announced they’ll be heeding our requests for more characters!
So what do we know about the DLC? Well, as seen above, Bride Lucina will be offered as an extra costume for the time-traveling warrior, and it can be received upon purchasing the Season Pass. Furthermore, a hint was dropped for the Fates pack in that one more sibling will join the fray, and who else could that be but the lovely Azura?
Regardless, we’ll bring you more information when it comes!
