Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth’s Harbinger carries a big blade and a nasty bag of miasma-powered tricks
ATLUS has released a new character class trailer for their upcoming Nintendo 3DS DRPG Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth introducing the scythe-wielding Harbinger.
While the Harbinger’s massive scythe is nothing to sneeze at, this master of destruction also utilizes a mysterious energy called miasma to punish their foes in the game’s deadly dungeons. By tapping into their stock of TP, they can summon powerful miasma armor which offers passive support, as well as debilitate swathes of enemies with status ailment abilities including paralyze, curse, and more. You’ll have to be careful though, as wearing the miasma armor also drains a little bit of HP. The Harbinger is a bit of a technical class to master, but their balance of stat-based abilities and considerable power make them a force to be reckoned with in the right hands.
