Koei Tecmo has released new information Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon today, detailing some of the upcoming game’s combat features.

Players can expect to meet face-to-face with plenty of demons as they guide Aluche and company through their journey to defeat the Moon Queen, however not all of them will be enemies. Players will be able to take advantage of powerful Striker type Servans which, during combat will transform from their normal demonic state into powerful weapons for Aluche to use in battle. These special weapons will allow use of a number of unique and helpful skills, specializing in either long or close-range combat depending upon which weapon is equipped.

Players will also be able to team up with the dangerously beautiful Lilies in battle, in order to perform the overwhelming Double Chase attack. When specific battle conditions will met, the Double Chase attack will be able to deal incredible amount of damage to all enemies unfortunate enough to get in the way of it. Its power could potentially change the tide of battle, if used right.

Nights of Azure 2 will feature plenty of big boss battles which will require players to not only fight to the best of their abilities, but to make use of their surroundings. For example, breaking barrels filled with flammable liquid and covering a boss in it will make fire attacks deal extra damage. Environmental hazards will be key in defeating bosses, so a keen eye is necessary.

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon is slated to release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on October 24. Koei Tecmo also announced today that those who purchase the game within 3 months of its initial launch will receive a Fatal Frame Uuri Kozukata Outfit on Switch versions, and a Deception Timenoid Restraints costume on PlayStation 4 versions for free.
