KOEI Tecmo reveals fresh details on Blue Reflection’s relationship system, releases new story trailer
Publisher KOEI TECMO America today released a new trailer, along with fresh details on how character relationships can affect the course of the narrative in Blue Reflection, the upcoming role-playing game developed by GUST that’s set to release next month for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
Relationships are integral in Blue Reflection. The closer the game’s protagonist Hinako gets with her friends the more powerful their Bond becomes. The friendships Hinako forges can be strengthened further by completing Bond Episodes. These special episodes unfold on the school premises after class ends. Additionally, Date Events, which occur in locations such as the movie theatre, the culture festival, and other locales and offer a unique glimpse into a character’s personality. By completing these events and strengthening her relationships, Hinako can gain access to Essential Missions, which progress the narrative; Important Missions, which focus on character interaction; and Common Exploration. Successfully completing a mission forges a stronger link with particular characters, and awards Hinako with experience to unlocks new abilities.
If you’re not feeling especially social, you can instead stay home and relax. At home, Hinako can spend time around the house and learn more about her past, or browse using the FreeSpace! App, which she can use to connect with her friends and plan activities.

Those wanting to dive into the adventure won’t have to wait long. Blue Reflection is set to release on September 26, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
