A whole new race of creepy-crawlies to love
Publisher Sega and developer Creative assembly have officially revealed the Skaven as the fourth playable race in Total War: Warhammer II, joining the ranks alongside the High Elves, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen.
Under the leadership of Queek Headtaker and Lord Skrolk, the Skaven are a tricky and powerful race who have carefully been biding their time in their many subterranean lairs. While they don’t normally venture above ground, the time of their prophecy has finally arrived — causing them to emerge in droves from the underground, and spread pestilence and mayhem across the entirety of the New World.
Total War: Warhammer II is slated to release digitally on PC via Steam on September 28 for $59.99. Additionally, a limited edition “Serpent God Edition” is available for pre-order. The Serpent God Edition comes will come with a number of goodies for you hardcore collectors out there, including an integrated art book, a canvas map with exclusive lizardmen artwork, and Serpent God ‘lizard skin’ tome packaging, but will cost you a whopping $150.
