But can we take his word for it?

Could it be true? Metroid Prime 4 and Pokémon Switch arriving in 2018? According to a VentureBeat interview with Nintendo of America’s Charlie Scibetta –the company’s communications director–that may be the case! While the whole interview is worth reading, one particular tidbit is catching everyone’s eye: 2018, he says, will be focusing on not just the confirmed 2018 releases for Kirby Switch and Yoshi Switch, but for Metroid and Pokemon. Wow, guess this means we won’t have to wait long for both games, huh?
Well, let’s not get too excited just yet. While Mr. Scibetta certainly comes across as a credible fellow, remember that we didn’t have any prior release dates for Metroid Prime 4 and Pokémon Switch during their brief teases last week, and it seems doubtful they’d just let them slip in an interview. After all, it’s not the first time a company rep gets release info wrong. It may be better to wait until an official Nintendo Direct confirmation delivers the news, but both coming next year sure is an exciting thought!
Regardless, we at Hey Poor Player will certainly keep you updated when their release dates drop in the future.
