Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Announced

With A 2017 Release That We Did Nazi Coming

Bethesda concluded their E3 presentation with the announcement of Machine Games’ Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, the sequel to 2015’s Wolfenstein: The New Order. To accompany the announcement, Bethesda has released an eight minute long trailer for the game. The New Colossus is set after the events of The New Order, and puts players in the shoes of the American soldier BJ Blazkowicz as he continues his campaign against the Nazi forces that have taken over America. People in KKK uniforms have also been seen in the trailer, hinting that they might play a role in the game’s narrative alongside the Nazis.

Racist punching bags aside, the trailer showed off a combination of cutscenes from the game and actual gameplay of BJ tearing into the Nazi Regime with a variety of guns, some dual-weldable and others not. It’s also worth noting that players can now dual wield two separate guns at a time, as opposed to New Orders system where only two of the same guns could be dual wielded.

No release date has been officially announced for the game, but Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines has stated that every game shown in the presentation will be available this year. So expect to see Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus sometime this year.
