Metro 2033 returns to gaming!
The Metro series returns with Metro: Exodus, which was revealed today in Microsoft’s E3 conference. You can watch the solemn, yet action-packed trailer below.
Was that encounter with the giant monster scripted or real-game footage? We’re not quite sure, but hopefully more E3 footage from the game will tell all.
Metro: Exodus is currently slated for a 2018 release, and according to the game’s press release, it’ll feature a non-linear levels and not only take place over the four seasons, but will span the entire continent of Russia, beginning with an escape from Moscow.
Inspired by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky’s series of sci-fi novels, Metro: Exodus is the third in a series of FPS game adaptions set in post-apocalyptic Russia. Like the other two games, this new entry will blend first-person shooting with survival horror elements of stealth and exploration.
While shown at Microsoft’s conference, Metro: Exodus is scheduled for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. More information is expected to arrive soon.
