BioWare Teases New IP ‘Anthem’

Anthem sings its first few notes at E3 2017.

BioWare, the developers behind the Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Star Wars: The Old Republic series, announced an entirely new IP at the EA Play 2017 conference named Anthem. CEO of Electronic Arts Andrew Wilson described the game as “vast, dangerous, beautiful, and unexpected.” This may be the science fiction game journalist Liam Robertson leaked two months ago on his podcast nicknamed ‘Project Dylan’. According to International Business Times, Robertson stated that “Dylan is, from what I understand, a sci-fi themed game, it is sort of Destiny-style, takes some elements from The Division, it has like MMO elements. Someone described it as a ‘semi-MMO’. I don’t know much more than that… it is a huge scale project, perhaps the biggest BioWare has ever done.”

“The wall. It’s our armor. It protects us from what lies beyond,” a woman dubs over the minute long trailer. “But out there, you either live with the choices you make, or die trying to change them. The story doesn’t end here. It’s just the beginning.”

There will be more information on Anthem at Microsoft’s E3 conference tomorrow at 5 PM, EST. Be sure to catch a livestream of the conference tomorrow on Twitch.
