Night Trap is coming to the PS4 in all of its grainy, girl-filled glory
Yes, you read that right. Publisher Limited Run Games today announced that they will be bringing Night Trap to the PS4 in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary.
Originally released for the Sega CD, 3DO, and PC, Night Trap is best known for stirring up a ton of controversy when it originally released in 1992 due to its scantly clad female cast and violence. The outcry was so vocal that the game found itself under fire in congressional hearings against violence in video games alongside games such as Mortal Kombat, Lethal Enforcers, Splatterhouse and DOOM.
Limited Run Games released a glamour shot of two versions of the game today, with spines that smartly mimic those of the Sega CD and Sega CD 32X versions of the game.

Additionally, Sony has released a trailer for the game that you can find below:
As it stands, there’s no set release date for when Night Trap will become available to pre-order. But considering previous releases from Limited Run Games, we’re guessing supplies will be very limited.
