NIS America has released additional information today on Experience Inc.’s upcoming dungeon-crawling RPG, Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy, in order to familiarize players with some of the game’s features before its release.

Like with some of Experience’s previous dungeon-crawlers, the party will be fully customizable. Players will be able to choose from a variety of options, including appearance, personality traits, voice, Blood Code, and more, in order to form their own perfect team to take on the incoming threats that loom ahead.

Returning from Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy are Blood Codes. Blood codes work as classes in the game. By activating Blood Codes, players can allow their party members to use specific skills and spells. New to Operation Babel is the Cross Blood System, which allows players to simultaneously use two Blood Codes (one main and one sub). This effectively double-classes characters, granting further party flexibility.

After creating their party players will then need to head into the Abyss, a section of Tokyo that has been transformed into a dangerous labyrinth. Players will need to battle dangerous monsters known as Variants as they explore the Abyss, power up, and uncover the secrets behind what’s going on.

Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy will be venturing onto PC and Vita starting May 16 in North America, and May 19 in Europe. Will you be heading into the Abyss? Let us know in the comments below!

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection.
