Space-age tactical title Shock Tactics invades Steam next week.

Berlin-based developer Point Blank Games‘ upcoming fast-paced sci-fi strategy game, Shock Tactics, officially has a release date. The game, which combines intense battles with exploration elements and detailed squad management, will release via Steam on April 11.

Shock Tactics puts players in control of a small vanguard of space pioneers tasked with scouting a newly-discovered planet. To survive, players must utilize alien technology to fend off the powerful Imperial Consortium, pirates, and other alien threats. The game takes place on a procedurally generated world map where players vie for technological supremacy. To win, you’ll need to build outposts and secure dig sites to harness the alien technology sleeping below the surface.
