Guardians of the Galaxy Set For April Release
Telltale Games, developers responsible for titles such as Minecraft: Story Mode, the Sam & Max series and Game Of Thrones (video game) has today revealed a fresh trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.
Telltale Games are well known for their adaptation of movie, comic book and TV series related videos games and this announcement makes no exception to that rule, as they reveal their latest title will be released on April 18th and will be available as a five part series.
The trailer doesn’t explain much in terms of story depth but you are presented with a setup to the story and a few classic, witty lines from everyone’s favourite space champion, Star-Lord. We have however been told that the five part series will feature “a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes” and that they will be after a powerful relic that is desired by all, including (but not surpsingly) the games antagonist.
The most impressive part of this announcement is the star-studded voice cast that includes Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale series will be available for purchase at $4.99 (or equivalent) for each segment on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, Mac, the App Store and Google Play and from May 2nd in North America and May 5th worldwide, you’ll also be able to buy the ‘Season Pass Disc’ which will give you access to each episode as it becomes available from $29.99.
