With the European release of 2Dark slated for tomorrow, publisher PQube and developer Gloomywood have released a final developer diary video for the game, offering a window into its unique art and audio direction.

“2Dark offers a unique visual ambiance and sound design that are integral to the game experience.” the game’s European publisher PQube wrote in a press release detailing the video, “Sound is such an essential part of the game, it is represented visually.”

In this second developer diary, Gloomywood’s art director, Yaël Barroz and music composer and sound designer, Samuel Safa, detail the creative process that went into creating the unique horror title. The result was an ambiance that the developers affectionately called an “insane lullaby.”

You can watch the 2Dark “Art Deepens The Horror” developer diary below:

For those who haven’t been following the game, it’s is a disturbing stealth horror title from the mind of Alone in the Dark creator Frédérick Raynal in which players explore the lairs of psychopathic killers in search of missing children in a world “where survival counts on your intelligence, caution and your .38 revolver.” For our final thoughts on the game, you can read our full 2Dark review here.

2Dark originally released on March 10, 2017 in North America. The game is slated to make its European debut tomorrow, March 17, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
