Nintendo’s Switch Pro Controller works on PC, so long as you have the right setup.
Those of you wanting to use your Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for PC gaming are in luck, at least so long as as you have a Bluetooth-enabled PC.
YouTuber Drewolf has shown in a recent video posted to his channel that the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller can be synced with a PC via the Windows Bluetooth Settings menu. The folks at IGN have tested this method with their controller and verified that it does indeed work.
It’s worth noting that you won’t be able to sync with your computer using a USB-C connection. Additionally, the Pro Controller can’t be charged through USB-C while using the Bluetooth connection. Still, the fact that you’re able to use the controller on a properly-equipped PC is certainly a nice bonus for those fond of Nintendo’s premium Switch controller.
The Nintendo Switch releases this Friday, March 4, 2017. Will you be picking up Nintendo’s latest console-handheld hybrid when it releases later this week? As always, we love to hear from you. Be sure to sound off in the comments and let us know.
