The classic trilogy returns this summer!
Mark your calendars, Crash Bandicoot fans: the remade trilogy of the classic PlayStation games (Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: Warped) will be releasing this June 30th! Releasing for both PS4 and PS4 Pro, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy will be available for $39.99.
Developed by Vicarious Visions, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy will feature not just new lighting, animations and cinematics, but include 4K support and infintely-improved graphics (check out Crash’s fur!). The original music is to be fully remastered, and the trilogy will support full analog stick support. As for gameplay changes, new unified save/checkpoint systems will be featured, as well as updated bonus levels and time trials.
A brief trailer accompanied the announcement, which you can view below.
While Vicarious Visions considers the games a remaster (more info can be found in their PlayStation Blog post here), much of the trilogy was rebuilt from the ground-up. The team meticulously reconstructed the original level geometry all the while putting their own spin on animation, art assets, and audio.
