NIS America has officially confirmed that the latest titles in the Danganronpa series, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is headed our way in June of this year.

Ultra Despair Girls follows the story of Komaru Naegi, Makoto Naegi’s little sister, who has been imprisoned inside of a strange and mysterious apartment for over an entire year. Seemingly from nowhere Komaru finds herself rescued by Byakuya Togami of the Future foundation, but the rescue mission encounters a huge snag when the two find themselves on the receiving end of an attack by hundreds of Monokumas.

Komraru eventually discovers that the entire city has been taken over by, of all things, a group of children. Calling themselves the “Warriors of Hope”, the group hopes to form a “children’s paradise”, by eliminating any and all adults that they find. Komaru finds herself teaming up with Toko Fukawa in order to survive this new trial, and uncover the many secrets that lurk within this city.

Unlike with previous Danganronpa titles, Ultra Despair girls is a third-person shooter. Feel free to check out some of the key features, listen below:

  • Third Person Shooter Action Sequences: Use Future Foundation Hacking Gun to have a fighting chance against the hordes of Monokumas as you traverse Towa City.
  • Riddles and Puzzles: The Monokuma Kids will challenge more than just your trigger finger; you’ll need your smarts to survive as well. There’s a lot to discover in the city, with a number of familiar faces and mysteries to unravel!
  • Tons of Different Types of Ammo: Tackle challenges with multiple kids of Truth Bullets, such as Paralyze and Link. Upgrade your firepower with special Bling Bullet modifiers.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls arrives on the PlayStation 4 in North America on June 27, 2017, and June 23, 2017 in both physical and digital format.
