“I Have The Shotgun Prepared To Old Yeller This Year”

On this week’s episode of the Hey Poor Podcast, I “DOOM” Coleman, Jay “Overwatch” Petrequin, Anthony “Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth” Spivey, and Jonathan “Flame in the Flood” Trussler join forces once again for the second half of our Farewell to 2016. In this episode, we discuss HeyPoorPlayer’s top 25 games of the year in our usual rambly, humorous, unfiltered style (seriously – there was some drinking, and as a result, there’s a bit more swearing than usual.) Our games of the year are also available in article form, and while I won’t list them here in the description, I will put them in the tags of this page if you absolutely can’t wait.

It’s been great having you here, 2016. Now that you’ve been finally laid to rest, we can only hope that your baby brother 2017 will share your fondness for games that expanded on their predecessors, games that prioritized fun over realism, and high-quality games both large and small. But maybe not your penchant for killing celebrities and political turmoil.

PS: We’re aware Jonathan’s audio gets glitchy at the end. Nothing we could do about it short of re-recording the whole podcast. At least it’s good for about 99% of the show.
