Love it or hate it, the fact of the matter is that Steam is the de facto standard when it comes to PC gaming. The practical and moral aspects of DRM is a debate for another day, but as it stands, Steam can be very useful in maintaining your game library. This is especially true when you install some third-party apps which are designed to augment Steam’s functions in some way or another. Today we’ll be looking at seven such apps for your consideration.
But first, a disclaimer. The software listed here isn’t officially endorsed by Valve. Use it at your risk. Hey Poor Player and the authors of these tools can not accept responsibility in the unlikely event that they cause something to break. Some of these programs require elevated access to your account, and if you’re not comfortable with doing that, then it’s best you don’t use it.
