Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta registrations are now open, new trailer offers tantalizing look at war-ravaged Bolivia.
Ubisoft has announced that those hoping to get an early taste of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands can now register at ghostrecon.com/beta for a chance to play the Beta for the upcoming shooter ahead of its release next March.
To celebrate the occasion, the developer has released a new trailer for the game shedding light on the trouble the game’s drug war-ravaged Bolivia is facing. In addition to a look at the game’s broader narrative, we see the Ghost Recon team engaging in fierce gunfights with the local criminal element in tense daylight shootouts, stealthy nighttime assaults, and even a raid with a rampaging bulldozer. Wildlands’ vision of Bolivia certainly looks dangerous, and we can’t wait to dive in when the game releases on PCs and consoles next spring.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is the latest entry in the long-running Ghost Recon series of tactical military shooters. The game sets players loose in a sprawling version of the Bolivian wilds in a campaign that supports both single-player or up to four-player co-operative play. With the a country turned into a narco-state by the Santa Blanca drug cartel, players will work to overthrow the violent drug lords by breaking alliances between criminal factions and the country’s corrupt government.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands sets itself apart by previous games in the series by giving players full freedom of choice to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions. It sounds like a refreshing change of pace from the rather linear design of the previous entries in the series. However, it remains to be seen if these decisions will make any real impact on the way the game’s story progresses. Still, we’re excited to find out!
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be available March 7, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC.
