Red Barrels Studio wants Outlast 2 players to “game while they go” in comfort.
While we at Hey Poor Player pride ourselves in having some of the most well-built bowels in the business, we have to admit that a few of us came close to jettisoning some ballast in our Fruit of the Looms upon playing Outlast. Apparently we aren’t the only ones who felt this way, as fans of Red Barrels Studio’s shit-inducing survival horror game have been reaching out to the developer, who’s know working on Outlast 2, expressing those concerns.
Thankfully, Red Barrels Studio is listening, and they’re poised to start a movement.
“Following the release of the first Outlast and feedback from fans, we wanted create something to let them know that we have been listening,” says Philippe Morin, President of Red Barrels “they have all been so vocal about their reactions, we responded in typical Red Barrels fashion: to the extreme”.
Red Barrels in collaboration with Sid Lee have launched the Underscares Companion Diaper Kickstarter campaign for Outlast 2. Yes, you read that right. You can now cower in fear knowing your new Italian leather sofa is safe from the taint of last night’s burrito. The crowdfunding campaign is 100% real and inspired by the Outlast community. Talk about doing right by your fans.
Players will be happy to know that no expense has been spared in the construction of these durable diapers. Developed in partnership with local Montreal designers, the gamer diaper combines practicality, comfort and style. The diaper comes in both Basic and Limited Edition Deluxe options, with the higher tier briefs capable of keeping you dry for the duration of Outlast 2. Underscares are wearable, comfortable, high quality and washable. I’ve gotta say, these are some impressive specs for something that’s meant to be shit on.
This is the reason why, no matter how big they get, Red Barrels Studio will always be our #2 developer.
The Kickstarter campaign launched November 17 and will run until December 9, 2016.
