Runbow brings colorful platforming to Steam
13AM Games‘ racer/brawler Runbow is debuting on Steam today. Originally a Wii U downloadable game that saw a retail release at the top of this month, the Steam version will launch with all the modes you know and love.
Runbow puts a twist on traditional platforming through a color changing mechanic: if the background is the same color as the platform, that platform is no longer there. Use this to your advantage as you bash and race your way to victory.
Players can take part in the classic “Run” mode, battle to the colorful death in “Arena,” or try the games own take on “King of the Hill.” For single player purposes the game also has over 140 levels for “Adventure” as well as the “Bowhemoth” mode which is a massive single platforming level.
In addition to their own creations, The cast also features 19 playable guest characters include many from recognizable indie titles such as Guacamelee! and Shovel Knight as well as Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse.
