The Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition Big Box Release Confirmed

Devolver Digital to give players the old “Wang in the Box” with Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition

Shadow Warrior 2 Physical Release

Here’s some good news for big box PC collectors. Indie developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital announced today Shadow Warrior 2 is getting a limited boxed collector’s edition.

The Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition includes the special editions of all three games in the series (the original Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, the Flying Wild Hog 2013 remake Shadow Warrior, and the 2016 Game of the Decade, Shadow Warrior 2), soundtracks, custom stickers, and a brilliant 96-page artbook. The Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition is limited to 5,000 numbered boxes and each one is adorned with its own unique, randomly generated blood splatter.

Check out the set in all of its glory below:

Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition is priced at $59.99 and is available exclusively at the Devolver Digital store at Those who already own Shadow Warrior 2 or Shadow Warrior 2 Deluxe on Steam will be able to upgrade to the Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition for $9.99 or $19.99, respectively.

In our review of the game earlier this month, I Coleman summed up his thoughts on Flying Wild Hog’s latest shooter saying, “Shadow Warrior 2 is still the only game I’ve ever played that let me fly through the air to cut an invisible cyborg in half with a flaming poisoning chainsaw sword, and every part of that sentence is incredible. Those who, like me, have been wanting more of the series’ fast-paced over-the-top action will absolutely not be disappointed, and its innovations make it a great place to start for those new to the series, too.  Plus, now you can play with friends, making the whole an even more entertaining experience as you work as a team to take down even larger hordes of monsters. As our hero himself says, the Way of the Wang is sometimes long. And hard. But all the more rewarding for it.”

So, will you be picking up this limited edition helping of Wang when it makes its way to Devolver’s store? As always, be sure sure to let us know in the comments section.
