The Age of Jay Has Ended

The Hey Poor Podcast is back, and as Jay starts disappearing Marty McFly style, a new host appears to take his place. Join I “I Talk Too Much About Doom” Coleman, Jay “I Bump The Microphone Like I Have A Personal Vendetta Against It” Petrequin, and Jonathan “Everything The Light Touches Is Mine” Trussler as we talk about a surprising number of things that aren’t videogames. The first half of the show is fairly scattershot as we take a “no rules just right” approach to talking about games we’ve played recently, but the second half brings it home with some deep discussions on films, writing, Internet culture and even a surprisingly introspective conversation on the life of a game reviewer.

Talking Points not eaten by the Voidfish: The Bioshock Collection, I’s DOOM video, The Nathan Drake Collection, worst games we’ve ever played, Videogame Documentaries, The Metronomicon, Hue, Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, meta-narratives, origin stories, Jonathan sings the Fantastic 4 theme, cinematic universes, underappreciated children’s films, JK Rowling needs to stop, ruined childhoods, how to have a polite conversation on the Internet

In addition to the website, Hey Poor Player can be found in page and group form on Facebook and Twitter, creating Let’s Play and video review goodness on Youtube (which is where I normally lives), and playing away for your entertainment on Twitch.

I. Coleman
I Coleman believes that videogames are the most important, most fascinating, and most potentially world-changing entertainment medium today. When not saying dorky, embarrassing crap like that, I is a game designer, science fiction author, and former reviews editor for the now-defunct GamerSyndrome.com with years of experience writing for and about games.
