Just a little more motivation
-the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.
So far in my short time with Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors, I’ve scrubbed, whipped, and flung a strange translucent viscous substance at 7 beautiful girls all while giggling and trying my best to shield the Vita’s screen from my coworkers. It didn’t matter how successful my shielding techniques were though, because eventually everyone became curious as to why the sounds of whip cracking and moaning Japanese girls were echoing from one corner of the office to the other. Once everyone got their eyes filled with as many bouncy breasts as they could handle, they all went back to their desks and resumed their work. Unfortunately for them they didn’t see the surprisingly deep story, and straight-to-the-point battle system implemented in between all the raunchy stuff.
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors kicks you back to the bottom of the Tower of Hell, or Hell Spire if you will, to lead seven new girls to their resurrection. Interestingly enough, these girls haven’t even committed a crime to warrant being sent down to suffer the eternal flames. The girls are “expected” to commit a serious offense and they have been given a chance to return to earth and live their life to the fullest as long as they make it to the top of Hell Spire and pass the many trials along the way. As you can imagine, this isn’t going to be an easy task and the only way they can ensure they get their lives back is to work together and help each other.
Obviously, these girls are pretty pissed off that they’ve been sent to Hell for a crime that they haven’t even committed and this is where you come in. Your job is to keep the girls on track and inspire them to push forward, but to make things difficult; you have a bad case of amnesia and don’t even know why you’ve been given the task of dealing with these seven busty, would-be delinquents. Even more troubling is that you’ve been informed that only six girls have been assigned to you. So the next question is: where in the Hell (pun intended) did the 7th girl come from?
Each girl has a different personality and getting them to trust someone who doesn’t even know his role is a job in itself. Strong-willed females will tell you what actions they want to take on the battlefield, and these aren’t recommendations either! They know what they want to do and you’re not going to tell them otherwise. Bickering, talking behind each other’s backs, and complaining about the heat it is just the beginning of the troubles you will have to deal with. Dangerous convicts are on the loose and to get these girls to fight to their full potential and unleash abilities they didn’t even know they had, you’ll have to do a bit of “motivation”.
So how do you motivate your heroic harem of girls who’ve have been sent to Hell for a crime that they haven’t committed yet? You whip, scrub, poke, and prod them of course! Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors brings back the motivation element of the first game but with all new mini-games for your filthy mind to enjoy! With each battle won you will be given currency to put towards motivating the girls and unleashing their full potential. When a girl is motivated enough she is given a new ability which will increase her usefulness on the battlefield. As you make your way to the top of Hell Spire more motivation techniques will be available for you to get your hands dirty. This may turn some gamers off and may even make some uncomfortable, but if you know what you’re getting into and have a good sense of humor, you’re going to enjoy this aspect of the game.
Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors is surprising me with its engaging story and approachable battle system. Motivating the girls never gets old and actually becomes even more intriguing once you earn their trust and they get to know you better. They know they want it and you know you want to give it to them! Look for our titillating review coming within the next few weeks!
