Enter the Gungeon Update Coming This Fall

Enter the Gungeon’s upcoming update will drop more than just supplies

Enter the Gungeon Supply Drop Update

Good news for all of you Enter the Gungeon fans out there; a supply drop is coming your way! Well, actually, it’s more than just that. Enter the Gungeon developer Dodge Roll Games and publisher Devolver Digital have officially announced today that an expansion is heading toward its unique dungeon crawler/bullet hell game faster than a speeding bullet.

Titled the Supply Drop Update, this new addition to the game will add a large amount of content to the already-expansive game and will include over 100 new rooms to explore, new weapons to use (most of which are probably gun or, at the very least, gun-like), new baddies, new companions, new bosses, and shrines for Gungoneers of all skill levels. Those who are more seasoned are also welcomed to challenge unique pasts for both Robot and Bullet, as well as the shiny new boss known as the Mine Flayer.

Enter the Gungeon - SupplyDrop_01

Since its initial release back in April of this year, Enter the Gungeon has already seen a great amount of success, reporting over 600,000 copies sold in the four months that it has been out. The Supply Drop Update is scheduled to release sometime this Fall. Dodge Roll games plans to keep the content for the game rolling along as well, and plans include an additional update after the release of the Supply Drop Update, and also plans to release a fully-fledged expansion sometime during the earlier part of 2017.

A fully-playable version of Enter the Gungeon + the Supply Drop Update will be available for eager Gungeoneers at PAX West this weekend at booth 2343.

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
