WrestleMania 19
There are a lot of things that have made wrestling games special over the years, from a great roster and intuitive controls, to engaging story modes and the ability to fight backstage, something missing from more recent titles. Well, WrestleMania 19 did not just permit you backstage, it took the fight out of the area, and out to sea.
Of course this game featured everything you would expect from grown men fighting in their underwear, like solid gameplay and a fantastic Create a Wrestler mode, which allowed you to fashion your very own designs. This in depth creation suite set the groundwork for features we now enjoy and take for granted in the current WWE2K games. If WrestleMania 19 did not come along, we just would not have it.
But that’s not what puts this on our list. No, that honor goes to the ridiculous and highly entertaining story—revenge mode. You have to dodge moving cars, swing on chains, scale construction sites, battle on boats, and even toss builders and policemen into the water, essentially committing murder. I know The Undertaker is a badass, but damn, he will go to any lengths to ruin his boss. This game is silly and senseless while also being a hell of a lot of fun.
