Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Operation Skull Rain Releases, Gets New Trailer

Things are headed south

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Operation Skull Rain

Ubisoft have released a third DLC package for Rainbow Six Siege named Operation Skull Rain.

We’re treated to a new map named Favela, with a distinctly Brazilian slum theme. Players can expect tight urban combat and all the hazards that go along it, such as stairwars, narrow alleys, and plenty of spots for ambush and cover.

Skull Rain also includes two new BOPE operatives, Capitão and and Caveira. The former comes equipped with a tactical crossbow and the latter is a master of stealth tactics. Both new operatives will be available to season pass holders, whereas everyone else will be able to purchase them separately from the 9th of August onwards.

The update additionally features a new angled grip attachment, speeding up the transition from ADS to hip shooting. This allows for an aggressive and fast-paced playstyle at the cost of less stable recoil. There’s also a new custom game mode, Tactical Realism, which adds an extra layer of challenge by removing HUD information and encouraging players to interact more directly. The mode is still in beta and Ubisoft are keen to receive player feedback on its implementation.

To show us what it’s all about, there’s a nifty little trailer which you may view below:
