#13- Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
Guest Written by Jack Hills
Danganronpa 2 is one of the better games available for the PS Vita, thanks to its elaborate story and memorable characters. The characters are all well written, mostly likable, and multidimensional (well, they’re 2D… but you know what I mean). You get invested in the characters to the point where you don’t want anyone to die, not even the murderers. The ways these characters interact with one another and respond to the various twists and turns within the game are so enjoyable to watch. The class trials are well done also, featuring elaborate schemes, red herrings, and mini games that spice up the debates. Every piece of evidence found feels important, every new discovery is a revelation, and even when you solve a murder you still don’t feel like you’ve won because you still have to send someone that you know and trusted to their death. Combine this with some great plot twists and you have a game that stands as one of the Vita’s best titles.
