5 Retro-Style Platform Games You Probably Haven’t Played (But Should)

MANOS: The Hands of Fate

Manos - The Hands of Fate

These days, FreakZone Games is best known for making Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, but this tongue-in-cheek adaption of one of the worst movies ever made is also worthy of attention.

It’s a solid platform-shooter which amusingly has very little to do with the movie on which its based, much like many games of its ilk from the NES era. Though it’s not too difficult and can be completed in a short time, there’s loads of collectibles and secrets to unlock. It also pays homage to other classic bad films, such as Plan 9 From Outer Space and The Giant Claw. Spotting the references is almost as much fun as the platforming action.

Peek over here to witness it for yourself.
