#20- Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

PlayStationAllStarsBattleRoyale

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was introduced to a metric ton of fan criticism. Many people saw this game as a simple Smash Bros. clone and nothing more. While I obviously saw the parallels between Smash Bros. and All Stars, I was overjoyed to have a fighting title such as this on my Vita. I’m not a big fan of 2D fighters such as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, which is why you won’t find any of those games on my list (sorry!). I did, however, love Smash Bros. on the GC and Wii, and thus I was excited to have a similar game re-skinned with my favorite characters. Little did I know that this title would be more than a simple re-skin; The 3-tier finishing move system encouraged combos and action, as people who tried to sit the battle out hiding in the corner couldn’t keep up. While the online community died out rather quickly, owning people as Sly Cooper was a joy to partake in. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale can be found for cheap nowadays, and it is certainly worth the low investment.
